How to Size a Mother for Correct Flanges
-
Finding the correct flange size maintains adequate milk expression and maternal comfort
-
Sizes available: 21mm/24mm/27mm/31mm/33mm/36mm
-
-
Size is the size AFTER the nipple has swelled
-
For example, after 15 minutes of pumping
-
-
Apply flange, turn on pump and evaluate nipple
-
Nipple should be free moving in the flange and without pain
-
-
As the breast swells with transitional milk filling, sizing requirements may need to be adjusted
